Glean is an enterprise work AI platform for connected search, assistant conversations, research, content creation, and governed agents grounded in workplace systems.
Glean connects documents, messages, tickets, people, business applications, and other workplace context so employees can search, summarize, draft, research, and automate without opening every source system. Its platform combines connectors, permission-aware indexing, hybrid search, an Enterprise Graph, Assistant, model choice, Agents, APIs, and governance. Value depends less on a demo answer than on connector coverage, identity correctness, source ownership, recrawl latency, and whether employees can distinguish authoritative policy from informal discussion.
Glean does not publish a simple public per-user price. Procurement is sales-led, and current documentation also describes FlexCredits for selected usage-based services such as Deep Research. A complete quote should identify licensed users, included products, implementation, support, indexing or connector constraints, model or customer-key options, included credits, overages, contract term, and renewal. Admins should apply departmental quotas and track credit-consuming features rather than assuming the subscription makes every model call unlimited.
Permission enforcement and citations materially help review, but neither proves an answer is complete or true. Old documents, contradictory messages, inaccessible evidence, misconfigured groups, connector delays, and generated text can produce confident errors. Test least privilege with multiple personas, minimize sensitive collections, retain audit evidence, and require users to open cited sources. Agents add prompt-injection and tool-use risk; restrict domains and actions, validate untrusted content, and require human approval for messages, record changes, financial decisions, legal interpretations, or other consequential work.

Glean documents zero-retention commitments for supported managed model providers. Buyers should verify the exact deployment, model, optional offering, and contract.
